Some reasons for PAINT CRACKS

A bad paint job

The thought of having to paint your premises can be a daunting one and a lot of work, so one tends to rush through it just to get it done when you do it by yourself. Unfortunately, when we do it ourselves or let someone do it for us that really do not know what they are doing. Mistakes like the wrong layering of the paint, the actual application of the paint and being impatience and not letting the paint dry properly before you add the next layer, does effect the overall results.

This is the most common reason for cracks on your wall. A good paint job takes time. It takes someone who knows what they are doing.

A “cheap” paint job = Expensive

Bad plaster work

Another big reason is bad plaster work. Cement plaster needs to be completely dry before applying any primer or paint. If you apply any product on cement plaster when there is any moisture present, it will crack. This is a guarantee.

Rather keep the plaster work to the professionals.

Bad paint quality

You would like to stick to one type of paint, by layering different paint coats will cause cracks over time. Low quality paint doesn’t adhere to the wall correctly, apart from the fact that the paint will peel off, it will cause cracks.
